Face it. Electrification is expensive and quite possibly becoming unaffordable – be it transit buses, last mile urban delivery trucks or cars.

Government grants, subsidies and incentives supporting electrification, in all its forms, are on thin ice given record-breaking deficits, a looming global recession, political pushback and market uptake realities.

Add to this, costly infrastructure build outs, grid capacity, and reliance on unfriendly countries for battery raw materials and processing.  Suddenly, the electric landscape may not be as doable or as sustainable as some envision.

It will be a bumpy ride on the road to 2035.
